Joe qualified in Dentistry from Humboldt University in Berlin in 2000 and has since gained extensive international experience working in Germany, Norway, South Korea, and the UK. He holds a Master’s degree in Dental Implantology from Goethe University, Frankfurt, and is a Fellow and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). He is also a full member of the Association of Dental Implantology UK.

Four implants for anxious patient
I am petrified of dentists so when the time came for me to have 4 implants I was more than anxious! I don’t know why I worried the whole process was a breeze. From my initial appointment through to the day I had them fitted I was taken care of, this was from the ladies on reception, the dental nurses and the dentist. I had to have a sinus lift which sounds horrible but even that wasn’t a major problem. All in all I am very pleased with how well the process went and the end result is nothing short of amazing!!! What is an implant?
A dental implant is an “artificial tooth root” made out of titanium, which is very biocompatible with the human body. Dental implants can be used to replace a single lost tooth or many missing teeth. Dental implants are a proven tooth replacement option with a long clinical history.
Who is a candidate for dental implants?
Anyone who is missing/losing one or more of their teeth due to injury, disease or decay may be a candidate for dental implants. Occasionally, older patients express concern that their age may prevent them from enjoying the benefits that dental implants offer. However, health is more of a determining factor than age. If you’re healthy enough to have a tooth extracted, you’re probably healthy enough to receive dental implants.
Is there any pain or discomfort involved?

Will I ever be without my teeth?
This depends on your situation. Most patients can have a temporary tooth during treatment. Using the latest implant designs we can often provide same day fixed in place teeth on the same day as placing your implant.
